Robert Kirby, humorist for the Salt Lake Tribune, remarked: "There are so many Olympic pins being circulated that it is believed no one will have a complete collection. Still, this has not stopped some collectors from trying to get all 3,498,739." Having seen a major Olympic trading pin shop in the Crossroads Mall, I think his pin tally might be a little short. Though certainly not the only Olympic souvenirs available, pins seem to be one of the more popular items for collectors of Olympic wares.

I kept my pin-buying down to a minimum. Here is a close-up shot of item one
of my two pin collection.
