Inspiration from Meridian

My emails are inundated daily with so much trivial information that most are deleted before ever being opened. I look forward, however, to the inspiration that I receive regularly from Meridian Magazine. I don't subscribe to cable, satellite, or magazines (other than the Ensign), but would be willing to pay a yearly subscription rate for the online magazine that connects me to things sacred and to the goings-on of my brothers and sisters throughout the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful service you provide.

Awesome What “You Youngsters” Come Up With

I love to try to keep up with the fast-moving techs and stuff. It is so awesome all the things, you youngsters come up with. May God's richest blessings always be with you and yours. Thank you for using the great gifts you were given from on high. I am so thankful for the blessings that are in my life, because of them. Merry Christmas.

Stretching Dollars Like Rubber

I love getting up and reading this every day. A member from my ward blesses me with the Internet. I am a single Mom, disabled. I live on $234.00 a month and would be sad to lose you. But understand that for me $10 is a hundred this year. We did not even put up the tree for the reminder on no gifts. But we did put up the manger to remember what we truly are celebrating. So with this note: Thank you for your faithful service. I truly understand the times are hard and we all are stretching those mighty dollars like they where made of rubber. May The Lord Bless and Keep you all.

Wanted to Send $100

Your magazine is the best on the net and I am always telling people about it.  Our institute teacher here in the Salt Lake Valley uses your gospel doctrine articles to help teach the class!  I wanted to send $100 but you don't have that option...can you add an optional amount?  I sent the $20 now, you are WELL worth it!  You are my home page!
Love and thanks,

--Jan Criner

From a Remote Corner of the World ( Nevada )

I am thankful to a dear friend that told me about Meridian Magazine nearly a year ago.  (Where have I been?)  I teach Early Morning Seminary to a small group of youth in a remote corner of the world ( Nevada ) and am so very thankful for your messages and information.  I've shared many of the news stories and other uplifting articles with 'my kids' early in the morning.  Like so many others this recession has hit us hard and we have a very limited income as we are grandparents raising two teen-aged grandsons, but I didn't think twice about contributing $10.  Your efforts are fabulous.  Hope you'll be able to continue to bless us all for many years to come.  Thank you!

--Brenda Elmer

From the Cold Country of Maine

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to give back a little to Meridian Magazine; I sent on $20 today via credit card.   I read Meridian daily and count it as one of the highlights of my day.  So often my prayers have been answered though one of the articles.  I tell all my friends what a wonderful website it is and many have begun reading  Meridian as well.  This is a very top-notch, daily (amazing!) magazine!  I appreciate both of you (and your staff) and all that you do to keep Meridian running.  Thanks for keeping us informed on church news and even world news.  If it comes to needing subscribers, count me in!

--Carole Goodwin

P.S.  We had 20+ inches of snow yesterday and last night; it took me 5 hours to clear the roofs, walkways and driveway (tomorrow the deck); I am understandably very tired after the days work, but still have enough energy and desire to read Meridian!

My Beacon and Compass

Thank you so much for what you have provided and are providing.  I have been a faithful reader since the inception, I think.  I can't imagine not having this site to come to with the world so full of not-nice news!  This is my beacon and compass to help me get my mind to what is important!

We donated as a Christmas gift for our family.  Sounds rather selfish, but this site is a gift to us.  So thank you so very much and I do so hope Meridian Magazine has a long legacy of sharing the good news with the world!

Best Wishes and Merry Christmas,
--Jack & Mary Hildebrand

Making a Difference

Yes, it's worth $10 and much more. Thank you for making a difference in my life and the lives of many others. It's been a pleasure getting to know you. Best wishes for much continued success.

Worth Ten Dollars a Year

Meridian Magazine is well worth $10 to me.  In fact, I would subscribe for $10 a year, rather than simply send a one-time $10 donation.

Send Meridian on to My Adult Children

I would be willing to donate $10 per year rather than per 10 years. I appreciate the information available at Meridian and often send articles and information I glean from the files on Meridian to my adult children who are now raising their own families.

Lifeline in Algeria

Bless you for your efforts. We donated a few days ago gladly. I loved the comments from the other readers and couldn't add any more to what they said. Your publication was a lifeline to us in Algeria like it has been for many others. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

--Johnell and Bryan DeWitt

Meridian Opened up a World of Information and Contacts

Thank you for the opportunity to donate even a small amount to your work.  I'm not even sure how we began receiving Meridian Magazine on line, but we have enjoyed every bit of it.  You have opened up a world of information and contacts, and it is a big uplift to be able to read positive and informative news articles.

Our favorite read is probably the column done by Wally Goddard.  We would send more, but our business is suffering from the economic chaos also, and there are so many places and people that need help that we can't always do as much as we would like. Thanks again for your efforts.

--Faithful Meridian Reader

Sending Donation through the Mail

What is Meridian Worth? I can't put a price on it. I look forward to your emails daily and read every one. I love receiving the stories, the spiritual lessons, all of it. I share your articles with others. I, like many others, will be sending a donation however I do not like to send it through the emails. I will go to the post office today and mail it in. Merry Christmas to your family from ours.

Support from South Africa

I am a pensioner (and still working) in South Africa and the last 4 months have also hit me because the projects that I was busy on were completed and so no pay.  Meridian Magazine has been a source of knowledge to me and my wife.  Certainly in the New Year when my projects start up we will willingly contribute our $20 (approximately R220:00) towards maintaining the standards your magazine have kept. Thanking you for a fabulous Magazine.

From the West Indies

I have just sent my $10 donation to Meridian Magazine. I am writing from the French West Indian island of Guadeloupe . I greatly appreciate receiving Meridian directly in my inbox and I would be very sorry if, because of the bad shape of the American and global economy, I were to be deprived of this source of inspiring reading.

Important remark: The form provided for donation requires you give an American state as part of your address. I you don't you can't donate. Since I really wanted to send my 10 dollars, I filled in the state box with the first name that came to my mind: Florida . That is the reason why I would venture a suggestion: Could you try to organize your order form so that non Americans can donate easily? Thank you again and may Meridian Magazine live for many, many years.

-- Lucienne ZECLER

Editor's Note: We do need to work on this for our international readers.

Will You Cut Us Off?

If we don't pay the $10, do you cut us off? I have been placed in "straightened circumstances" recently, and am about to lose my car and my home. My subscriptions to both local daily newspapers will not be renewed, so Meridian is becoming the only source of news for me. However, if I am cut off for want of the $10, so be it! I'll miss you all.

--Dave

Editor's Note: Our request for donations is completely voluntary. Meridian Magazine will continue to come to you for free. We will NOT cut you off!

Uplifted by Meridian

We have arrived at the point in life where we are tired of listening to the one-sided, drive-by media, although we do want to stay abreast of world events.  Your publication provides enough news information that we do not need the so called main-stream media, with the added benefit of being able to partake of a real uplifting spirit through Meridian . My wife and I will be sending a check for $50.00 in January.  Thanks to you, your wife and your staff for what you do.

Support from the UK

I just wanted to say how grateful I am to Meridian Magazine for all the lovely articles I've been reading over the past months. I have forwarded quite a number to family and friends (LDS & non LDS) whom I thought would benefit from the information. I have laughed, and cried, as I read some of the articles. Others have comforted me or explained points of doctrine. I have sent my donation to Meridian with the hopes that it will ensure continued publication throughout the year ahead. May God bless all who contribute articles and work diligently behind the scenes to produce Meridian Magazine.

Best regards,

Important Link While in Vermont

Thank you so much for publishing Meridian Magazine.  Of course we are happy to donate!  It was an important link to things going on in the Church while we lived in Vermont for 8 years.  We shared many articles with members of our branch. Also, on a personal note, we really enjoyed meeting you and hosting you in our home at Christmas 3 years ago.

--Judy Done
Formerly of St. Albans, Vermont

Editor's Note: When Maurine and I covered the Bicentennial of Joseph Smith's birth in Sharon, Vermont, David and Judy Done (whom we had never met), out of the blue, invited us to stay in their home on December 23 and Christmas Eve morning so we could get out our stories on President Hinckley and Elder Ballard from this major event and still get home to our family on time. It was one of the most memorable Christmas Eve's ever! Meridian readers are like this wherever we go—we feel like we are a part of a very large family!

Simple Thanks

I love your magazine.  It has really helped me.  I love the articles, book reviews, movie reviews, etc.  I was happy to donate.

--Julie Gunnell
