Mitt Romney and the Vice-Presidency
By Lowell C. Brown

Thank you for this article, which put things into perspective concerning Mitt Romney's true chances of being selected as V.P. to John McCain.

There is one thing of significance that may not have been considered when addressing the issue of prejudice against Mormons: Romney has enough smarts and charisma to dispel these myths as he would get better known from the American public through extensive media coverage. As President Howard W. Hunter once told his Associates in the BYU Jerusalem Center project, "let us not take counsel from our fears," and let us keep looking forward to Romney becoming McCain's choice.

I personally feel that if Senator John McCain brings Mitt on board, he can kiss the Presidency hello.   Who better to bring an economic revival to this country?

You know, as much as I would love to see Mitt Romney become McCain's Vice Presidential candidate - it might even be better for him to offer a Cabinet post to Bro. Romney where he could do a lot of good, behind the scenes. He is such an experienced, well-principled man—he deserves a job where he can make a difference. Too many so-called Christians have a problem with his membership in our church and this would be a way he could bypass that. Just my humble opinion.

I am frustrated by what I see concerning the public's view of Mitt Romney's religion. I guess I am writing you with a hope that you could "make a difference" if it should happen that Bro. Romney is placed as VP with McCain.

Since Mormonism seems to be such a drawback for him, why would it not be permissible for the religion of Barack Obama to also be brought into view more often, and even in a comparable light. Mr. Obama's 20 year membership in such a radical church along with his obvious leanings toward Muslim anti-Christian attitudes.  I believe that to refrain from this kind of exposure, regardless of the propriety issue, would provide a terrible opportunity for the anti-Christian's already growing resurgence in America .

Instead of hand-wringing about Romney's ties with polygamy, Lowell C. Brown should be exploiting the fact that Obama's father was a polygamist.  What better defense than to go head to head with the topic?

Most people do not even realize Obama's polygamist connections. At the very least, this should blunt the offense against Romney, if it is used correctly.  The author sounds very tentative, as if he doesn't want to be caught championing Romney, when and if he "fails' to be asked as VP. Ah, well.

There's a simple answer to those who dislike Mitt because of his Mormonism, tell them to vote for Ralph Nader, goodness gracious, we wouldn't want anybody to waste their vote!
