Curbside at the Alito
Hearings
A Brief Photo Essay
By Scot Facer Proctor
Since
most of our readers do not live in Washington, D.C., I thought
it would be nice to take you to the opening of the Alito
hearings and give you a view of some of the happenings. Come
with us to the steps of the Supreme Court; meet Judge Samuel
Alito and his family as they arrive for the Senate hearings;
go to the Heritage Foundation to hear a constitutional expert.
Come and see.

Andrea
Lafferty of the Traditional Values Coalition looks on as a spokesperson
for Operation Outcry talks about the pain and horrors of having
had an abortion.

About 200 supporters of Judge Alito
arrived at the press conference on the steps of the Supreme
Court. Many of the young people were from the American Association
of Christian Schools and TeenPact.

Andrea Lafferty called upon the United States Senate
Judiciary Committee to confirm Judge Samuel Alito
quickly and fairly with an up or down vote.

The Reverend Pat Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense
Coalition, offers his voice at the press conference.

The young people held up their posters and signs with
great enthusiasm and fervor.

A poignant reminder of the children who never came because
of an abortion.

Congressman Trent Franks of Arizona lends his powerful
voice to the press conference. “It’s a cloudy day here in Washington,” he said, “but brighter days are coming.”
