LDS Defenders of the Faith to Hold Annual Conference
From FAIR, the Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research

LDS Defenders of the Faith to Hold Annual Conference August 6 – 7, 2009
The Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research, more popularly known as FAIR, will hold its eleventh annual conference on Thursday and Friday, 6-7 August, at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy, Utah.
FAIR is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing well-documented answers to questions about, and criticisms of LDS (Mormon) doctrine, belief and practice. While FAIR is an independent group not affiliated with the LDS Church, its members are known for defending their LDS faith.
Among this year’s impressive line-up of speakers are well-known scholars such as Ronald O. Barney, Matthew B. Brown, Brant Gardner, John Gee, Ugo A. Perego, and Daniel C. Peterson. Topics in this no holds-barred conference include understanding Mormon history, Brigham Young’s teachings on Adam, the Book of Abraham, everything anyone wanted to know about plural marriage, why Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon with a rock in his hat, DNA and the Book of Mormon, and the place for apologetics in Mormonism.
