When Helaman was informed that all two thousand of his stripling warriors and the sixty new recruits, all of whom were as dear to him as sons, had survived their second battle, he and his whole army received the news with joy, astonishment, and gratitude. The artist shows the young warriors, fatigued, wounded, and exhausted, yet standing faithfully in their ranks, ready to obey their commander.
