Filmmakers Work with Mr. Mac
to Donate Suits to Third World Countries
Salt Lake City, UT – January
27, 2006 – HaleStorm Entertainment and New Harmony Pictures,
filmmakers for Suits on the Loose, together with Mr.
Mac, a well-established, state-wide suits and apparel company,
announced they are collecting suits, hats, shirts, ties, slacks,
socks and shoes for missionaries in third world countries. Collections
can be made through February 24th at all Mr. Mac
locations throughout Utah.
Members of the community can donate
to the suit drive at their nearest Mr. Mac location. Mr. Mac
has locations in ZCMI center, Redwood Road, Fort Union, Bountiful,
Layton, Ogden, Logan and Orem.
“We’ve received reports that missionaries
in third-world countries are in desperate need of clothing,”
said Rodney Henson, writer, director and producer of Suits
on the Loose. “We love providing entertainment, but we also
look for ways to give back to the community. Hopefully this
suit-drive will make it easy and enjoyable for Utahans to donate
to a great cause.”
Mr. Mac is donating a shopping
spree to encourage community members to donate to the suit drive.
“Anyone who comes in to Mr. Mac from January 26th
to February 24th can register for a $2,000 Mr. Mac
shopping spree,” said Stuart Christiansen, marketing executive
for Mr. Mac.
“Mr. Mac has been fantastic to
work with,” said Dave Hunter, president of HaleStorm Entertainment
and CEO of HaleStorm’s corporate owner Stone Five Studios. “They’ve
done so much for missionaries over the past 42 years and we’re
honored to have their involvement.”
Suits on the Loose filmmakers
also stated they are giving away a Suits on the Loose
soundtrack, featuring original recordings from world-renowned
artists like The Alarm, Gene Loves Jezebel and Tamar Berk and
local artists including Alex Boye and Tiffany Fronk, to everyone
who donates a suit.
“We’re really excited about this
promotion,” said Hunter. “We live in a very service-oriented
state and I think we’ll get a great response from both fans
and non-fans of our movies because it’s just a great cause.”
