Book
of Mormon Art Competition-Gallery 4
Here is the much-anticipated Gallery 4 from the Fifth International Art Competition sponsored by the Church's Museum of History and Art. The theme for this competition which attracted artists from all over the world was the Book of Mormon. For this competition, the Museum encouraged broadly or narrowly defined interpretation of Book of Mormon themes and subject matter. Artwork submitted could reflect single themes, values, narrative images, or theological concepts. Historical works could represent Book of Mormon history or the history of its unearthing and the restoration of the gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith.
The art that was entered reflected a broad imaginary range as you will see in the following works.
