If you’re looking for something to listen to on Sunday afternoons after church, but can’t seem to find a good radio station in your area, you could always try the Internet. One Web site, called Sounds of Sunday, is working to bring radio listeners to Christ in a loving way. They carefully select their featured music to be of the highest quality and to be appropriate for Sabbath Day worship. They produce "Sounds of Sunday" to not only be a vehicle to perfecting the saints, but also to preparing non-LDS listeners to receive the Gospel. You can listen to the "Sounds of Sunday" streamed over the Internet each Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. mountain time by going to www.soundsofsunday.com and activating the KLCE link on the left side of the home page.

This blogger discusses one tip for personal peace. He says he feels it’s better for people to give, rather than lend, their money when others are in need. When I first started reading his ideas, I have to admit I didn’t agree 100 percent with what he was saying, but after I got done reading, I decided he had a great idea. In my opinion, a person’s personal peace would increase if they knew they didn’t have to worry about getting back the $20 they loaned to their friend, daughter, brother, etc., last month. It really is just better to think of it as a gift. Get all the info about this man’s tip here.

I found an interesting link on the lds.org Web site here. From this page, you can search all the areas of the United States for historical church sites, visitors’ centers, and other points of interest. I never knew there were so many different church sites to visit across the US. If you’re going anywhere within the 50 states this summer, consult this map first to see if you’ll be near any LDS places to visit. Or, plan your trip around this map, and stop to see several of these sites.

I received an e-mail about the essay found on this site. It talks about inappropriate jokes and how they are often geared toward those who are recently deceased, making the jokes that much more inappropriate. The writer also gives readers a call to action, and asks LDS members to hold to a higher standard. Read this short but powerful message here, and decide for yourself where you stand with inappropriate jokes.

We’ve all heard that a picture is worth a thousand words, and I think in the case of this blog, that statement is correct. The blogger has taken and posted two pictures: One of a thorny weed, and one of the beautiful flower it produces. The blogger marvels at how something so ugly can create something so beautiful. The blogger states it’s one of the simple ways to remember there is beauty among the thorns, and I would have to agree. View the pictures here.
